Download A4 Petal hood for Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 D
This petal hood is designed to be printed on A4 paper. Petal hoods offer superior shading characteristics compared with simple rounded hoods.
These lens hoods may be free, but they don't make themselves. If you find them useful or entertaining, please consider making a small donation. I will be eternally grateful :) Thanks! -- Paul.
Download A4 rounded hood for Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 D
This simple, rounded hood is designed to be printed on A4 paper. Rounded hoods are most suited to tilt-shift lenses or any other lens that may cause the lens hood to be rotated when it is zoomed or focussed.
Please follow these instructions for guidance on printing and fitting the lens hood to your Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 D.
From the feedback page:
- "Hey, if it works and you have three for each lens all ready to go in your gear bag, barely taking up any space, why the hell not? I suppose for some people it doesn't look professional enough. "Image is everything, eh" :-D "
- "This is a wonderful idea, and best of all, it's all free! Cardboardlens hoods work just as well as metal or plastic for shading, with theadvantage that they are a lot easier to store (just fold flat). "
- "wow - i've been scouring eBay for 3rd party hoods recently for my lenses - this is a great alternative though. I just cannot believe the price they charge for such a simple piece ofplastic with no moving parts and no specialist engineering - that's gotto be the worst example of profiteering i've ever seen. "
Still want a real lens hood? Bah! Take a look at the photography section on amazon.com.
I'm still working on free lenses, but in the meantime, you can buy them from my recommended retailer :).
