Download A2 Petal hood for Sigma 800mm f/5.6 APO EX DG
This petal hood is designed to be printed on A2 paper. Petal hoods offer superior shading characteristics compared with simple rounded hoods.
These lens hoods may be free, but they don't make themselves. If you find them useful or entertaining, please consider making a small donation. I will be eternally grateful :) Thanks! -- Paul.
Download A2 rounded hood for Sigma 800mm f/5.6 APO EX DG
This simple, rounded hood is designed to be printed on A2 paper. Rounded hoods are most suited to tilt-shift lenses or any other lens that may cause the lens hood to be rotated when it is zoomed or focussed.
Please follow these instructions for guidance on printing and fitting the lens hood to your Sigma 800mm f/5.6 APO EX DG.
From the feedback page:
- "This is definitely an interesting link. I'd never would thought of creating a lens hood out of cardstock. This is great, I've been contemplating whether I should spend money on the hood for my Canon macro lens. At least now there's alternative solution to my problem. "
- "This is so cool. This website has lens hoods designed for exact lenses! It caters to both my Olympus (saw DZ50 macro hood) and my Pentax (hood for the pancake lens). You have a choice of round or petal shape. You print the hood and then cut it out. If you want, you can even transfer the design to plastic. These hoods are designed for each lens and manufacturer. "
- "I'm off to make an EOS 5D copy using only an empty cornflakes packet, a plastic bottle and a roll of double sided sticky tape. "
Still want a real lens hood? Bah! Take a look at the photography section on amazon.com.
I'm still working on free lenses, but in the meantime, you can buy them from my recommended retailer :).
